NaviMeds offers a unique solution for medication administration efficiency and risk reduction within residential care homes.

NaviMeds is a computerised Medication Administration Record (MAR) solution that replaces existing paper based systems. It enables the capture of critical information in real time on small handheld computers that is later safely stored on a central database.

NaviMeds builds on best practice drug dispensing and administration procedures to ensure that in all cases the Right Person, gets the Right Drug, at the Right Dosage, at the Right Time. It ensures that all information relating to medicines administration is available for subsequent review in support of maintaining the highest standards of care.

NaviMeds ensures that all procedures are correctly followed and recorded with the result that errors in medicines administration are minimised. This is achieved through inclusion of pictures of the Service User and images of the drugs to be administered, offering a visual confirmation of the carer’s actions.

 
NaviMeds enables audio notes to be recorded, providing immediate confirmation of what has happened without recourse to pen and paper - saving staff time and removing the necessity for keyboard input.
 

NaviMeds is secure, using PIN code and fingerprint technology to provide a secure audit trail of activities - complying with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) guidelines.
