Scheduling and reminders

Core supports for each module a complete calendar and reminder service. This gives you one place to look to see what you did on each day as well as upcoming events that you need to action – regardless of whether they are Service User reviews, Medication Exception reports to complete, Relatives to meet or just letting the plumber into a premises. You can also assign tasks to other staff members and they will appear as deadlines in their calendar. A helpful ‘Upcoming events’ and ‘Late events’ option on your home dashboard will remind you in case things are missed. Additionally, on each Service User card, upcoming events for that Service User are listed.

Policies and procedures / Document library

Within Core and the modules, documents can be attached to any Contact (Service User, Employee, etc) or uploaded on their own. This allows you to build an easily accessible Policies and Procedures library, ensuring that all users have access to the latest version and access is available in the same tool where policies are put into effect. All common file types can be stored and should your needs expand, the document library can be linked with SharePoint for a powerful, fully searchable document solution. By attaching documents directly to Service Users, you will also be able to scan in historic records or images or attach letters that are sent regarding a Service User.

Customisation

Core provides strong customisation capabilities throughout the application. Modules can be added, removed or hidden without requiring an application re-install. Each service you offer can have a customised view of the Service User card, so your employment services aren’t asked to fill in blood type. Screens such as the MAR chart for a service user have multiple display options from colour-blindness support to large type.

Additionally, the notion of assessments is widely used throughout the application. These are forms such as your Risk assessment, Near Miss reporting, Care Plan, Behaviour chart and many more. Within NaviCare.net each of these is a single file which is stored on the server and instantly delivered to each user. Which assessments are visible to your users is settable by user and by service. This means that your users will only ever see assessments relevant to them and to Norwood.

Security

Security is at the heart of Core. All communications are encrypted between the client and the server, allowing use outside of the VPN if desired. Each user has a unique login which can be linked to their Windows login for Single-Sign-On.  Security can be set at individual form level and plays a large part in ensuring that users can explore the system without worrying about making inadvertent changes.

Our security system also includes per Service controls, allowing you to set security for individual users at any point in your organisational hierarchy – to take a simple example, this would allow you to give someone read-only access to you general care records, but full access to a particular home. Service filters are also controllable by your users, allowing them to filter reports and dashboards by a specific service, or zoom out to regional or Norwood level (subject to permission).
